Divided into two sections, the treasure rooms hosts a collection of imperial gold and silver which are crafted from 14-24 carat gold and many adorned with precious stones. A statue of Prajnaparamita, a goddess of transcendental wisdom who is adored with vast arrays of jewelry from head to toe, completes the priceless collections.

Collection from the Indonesian bronze age which is well represented in the museum and the collection, which comprises 3,199 pieces, is spectacular.

With a collection of over 17,112 Numismatic and Heraldic collections, only 500 are on public display. The collections consists of medals, coins, emblems, stamps and amulets. The collection includes ancient Indonesian currency which dates as early as the 8th century.

The collection reflects the history of Indonesia between the 16th and 19th century life style, or better known as the colonial age. (Collection includes the a bust of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles and a mysterious locked treasure chest which contents are still unknown till today.

The Museum Nasional shows a wide variety of objects that are part of Indonesian daily life as well as exhibits that are used in ceremonies and rituals. It houses over 100,000 cultural objects. You can enjoy displays of collections in nine different rooms, namely Ethnography, Bronze, Prehistory, Ceramics, Textile, Numismatics, Historical Relics, Stone Sculpture and Treasure.
Visitors can choose which collections they wish to see first, depending on their interests. If you wish to see collections of gold-adorned artefacts first, turn left and ascend the stairs to reach the Treasure Room and walk clockwise. If you wish to see the Ethnography Collections first, just turn right and walk anti-clockwise.
