Origin: Kedah, Malaysia, 19th c.

Size: l. 4.5 cm; w. 3 cm

The coin takes the shape of a rooster perched on a ring. The money has been said to copy a trading token that once circulated in Eastern part of Sumatera and its surrounding. The circular token has a picture of rooster on it hence the name "Rooster Coin".
