Kampua Money
Origin: Buton, Southeast Sulawesi, 19th century
Material: white and red thread
Size: l. 14 cm; w. 7 cm
Museum Ref: 13002

Kampua money belonged to Sultan Buton. The money made of cotton was weaved by the palace daughters under the control of the Great Minister. The woven white and red thread has seven stripes.
